On December 6th, 2008, the GFPOA lost one of its most enthusiastic members, Keith Harris. Keith was flying his Cessna 206 home from St. Paul, MN, when he crashed in Michigan.
Keith spent more time flying in the past 3 years than most of us accomplish in a lifetime. His passion for flying was contagious. His planes rarely sat on the ramp between his trips to Canada and explorations out west.
I had the good fortune to scan dozens of photos from Keith’s many excursions. I have attached a picture I felt portrayed Keith in all his glory – him sitting on the float of his Cessna 206, holding a fish in his hand a smiling from ear to ear. He truly enjoyed this part of his life.

The ramp at KGFL will never be the same. Godspeed, Keith.

This is by far the hardest piece of news for me in a long time. Kieth is an inspiration and a model in so many ways. The most caring and warm soul, generous, funloving, cosiderate and truly a wonderful person. A loss to us all. Pam, my thoughts are with you.

With a heavy heart I heard the news today. Thank you Keith for all of your efforts, making every year for the Fly in "Stile" at the Argyle airport a success. Nobody flew more flights than you. My daughter still talks about that guy who wouldn't even stop to use the porta pottie because she wanted another ride. I haven't had the courage to break the news to her. From my family to yours, blue skies forever.
