Thank you for your interest in the Glens Falls Pilots and Owners Association (GFPOA). The Association in an un-incorporated group of pilots and former pilots and their spouses living in and around the greater Glens Falls, New York, area.
The GFPOA was formed in the 1970's in order to work with the Warren County Board of Supervisors in the selection of a new fixed base operator for the the Warren County Airport (GFL), now Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport. In the 1980's, the GFPOA mounted a large, but unsuccessful, campaign to save the GFL FAA Flight Service Station.
Throughout its history, the GFPOA has also been a social organization. But we are a social organization with a purpose. Our monthly dinner meetings usually feature speakers of interest to pilots, such FAA safety advisors, doctors, airport managers, lawyers, airline pilots and State Police pilots. We have an annual Holiday Party and also sponsor fly-out events whenever we can. In the course of our activities, more experienced pilots are happy to share knowledge with less experienced pilots. Life-long friendships have been formed in our club, and we have supported each other through the highs and lows of our lives. We are always happy to enlarge our circle of friends.
Come to our next meeting as a guest, or join here to fill out a membership form.
